On the last day of fifth grade, my teacher, Mrs. Rowland,
signed my autograph book with this inscription: "To Cecelia, the best writer in the class." I've been trying to live up to those words ever since.

Printed newspapers are rapidly going the way of buggy whips,
but information and storytelling are timeless. The
goals are the same as always: get it right, make it bright and
create a powerful connection with the audience.
